Stockholm University is one of the largest and oldest universities in Scandinavia. It is located in Stockholm, Sweden’s capital city and a cultural and economic hub. Stockholm University was founded in 1878 and it is one of Sweden’s pre-eminent centres for research within science. Since it was opened, it has been giving public lectures in mathematics, physics, chemistry and geology until today, covering a diverse range of subjects.
Stockholm University has 70.000 students with 8% of them come from other countries in the world. It offers around 100 English-taught international degree programme. Twelve of the subjects ranked within the top 100 including Geography, Environmental Science, Social Policy and Administration and Sociology.
