Karolinska Institutet is one of the leading medical universities in the world. It is also the single largest academic medical research conductor in Sweden. The institution has two campuses: KI Campus Solna and KI Campus Huddinge, with around 7000 students studying there. Karolinska Institutet offers eight global master’s programme and one global bachelor’s programme all taught in English. All of the programmes are focusing in the international world as 1600 of the students comes from other countries.
Karolinska University is the proud home of the Nobel Assembly. Fifty professors from the institution is responsible for selecting the Nobel Laureates in Physiology and Medicine. The institution itself has been giving the Nobel Prize Awards since 1901. Karolinska also conducts collaborations with individual scientists, departments, and also similar units at interntaional higher education institutions.
