HZ University of Applied Science is a small-scale public institute of higher professional education located in Vlissingen, Zeeland. The university is well known for their Integrated Water Management program and their personal approach in assisting students. They offer internationally recognized bachelor and master programs in which some of it are taught in English.
"With a total of around 4000 students (where 500 of it comes from other countries), the institution keeps the classes small in order for them to provide personal assistance for their students. Each student has his own study career coach to help choosing the courses and explore career possibilities. In that way all students are well-assisted in their studies, which is crucially beneficial for international students. Related to their personal approach system, the courses offered are flexible and individually tailored, in other words it is a custom-made education. Students are able to set the most suitable course for them. Other than the Integrated Water Management program, their Communication, Marketing, and Information and Communication Technology are among the best. While in terms of international programs, the Chemistry and International Business & Management Studies programs have the score based on the research by Elsevier. The high quality of education is guaranteed since the university is accredited and recognized by Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders where most of programs are among the top ten in the country. Moreover, the university is ranked as the top 3 of multidisciplinary Dutch universities of applied sciences for six years in a row since 2011, based on the survey conducted by Keuzegids Hoger Onderwijs (Guide to Higher Education)."
