Dalarna University College is a public university (högskola) located in Falun and Borlänge, in Dalarna County, Sweden. It is one of Sweden’s more recent institutions of higher education, established in 1977. Since then, Dalarna University has experienced rapid growth and today is the place of study for about 16 000 students and has close to 800 employees.
Darlana University (DU) has two campuses in Falun and in Borlänge. DU is known for being the leader in integrating technology and new pedagogy within education. It offers Sweden’s only Master’s programmes in solar energy engineering and African studies, also Master’s programmes in business, sustainable tourism, data analysis and economics. Accessible and open on a 24-hour basis, these web-based courses - our virtual campus - offer open lectures, seminars, and lessons in which participants can interact with one another using pictures, sound and text.
