Brunel is a campus-based university situated in Uxbridge, West London, and is home to nearly 15,000 students from over 100 countries worldwide. Founded in 1966, our distinctive mission is to combine teaching and research excellence with the practical and entrepreneurial approach pioneered by its namesake, Isambard Kingdom Brunel. London a Tube Ride Away The University is just a 20-minute walk – or a short bus ride – from Uxbridge underground station, so it is a straightforward journey into the centre of the capital. There is also a night bus that can bring you from central London to the edge of the campus.
Brunel’s campus has everything students need within 10 minutes’ walk: over 4,500 on-campus rooms, 24-hour library, lots of study rooms, choice of cafes and restaurants and world-class sports facilities. With over 3,100 international students from more than 110 countries – from Argentina to Zimbabwe – Brunel is a vibrant, welcoming multi-cultural community. International students have the opportunity to work collaboratively, discover how different cultures address global issues and take experiences learnt in lectures straight into the workplace. Celebrating different cultures is integral to life at Brunel. Every year the University hosts the festival One World Week, to celebrate our diverse community.
